Week of May 4th

My dear Community,

I have to share that raising prices isn’t for the faint of heart. Our CSA prices have officially been increased to offset our costs on the backend. I’m hoping this will be the last time we need to do this for the foreseeable future. The CSA pricing is as follows: Basics $21, Regular $30, Large $41. I truly care and appreciate each and every one of you and the support that comes along with subscribing to this program. We want you to be happy and excited each and every time you open your box. If at any time you feel like something might be off – please make sure to reach out so we can make it right. I am able to offer the old pricing if you subscribe to our 26 or 52 week program. You have until May 15th to take advantage of this offer and the old pricing will remain for the duration of the subscription, then will increase.

I’ve been learning a lot about our gut microbiome and how we are made up of over 50% bacteria cells through reading Super Gut, by Dr. William Davis. He speaks to the extinction of beneficial bacteria in our guts through the use of pesticides, herbicides, fluoride in our water and other ways. He mentions that you can take all the fancy probiotics you want, but unless you feed them correctly they will starve and disappear. Prebiotics like the fruits and vegetables found in your box are what feed these good bacteria. The bacteria produces postbiotics and bam – a whole host of good body magic happens. Everything from your mood and how you relate to others to weight loss are included in the benefits. Humans really have such amazing potential and I hope that the foods we provide stoke that fire inside.

Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with questions or concerns.

Be good to each other.
